Her field of research has been child sexual abuse and the psychosocial and socio-legal response to this crime. She is well known in the community for her ongoing research and advocacy work.
Caroline is herself a survivor of sustained and long-term child sexual abuse. As a young and isolated teenager she had little formal education and many hurdles to overcome. Her journey to survival has seen her bring the perpetrator to justice and to work fearlessly and tirelessly on behalf of other victims.
Caroline’s commitment is also very much ‘hands-on’. Caroline makes herself available to speak to and support individuals. She never turns away a request for assistance and spends many hours of her time providing one-on-one support.
